As this school year gets underway let me thank everyone for a wonderful last school year. Williams Bay has welcomed my family and we look forward to many more years in the community. I will continue to share my love for the visual arts with your kids every day. The arts are very well respected in this community and I will do my best to continue to support the growth of our young artists.
A Bit About Me!
I have been teaching in The Bay (GO BULLDOGS) since the 2015-16 school year. Before that I taught for five years in Peoria Illinois; two years at Sterling MS (5th-8th grades, GO JAGUARS) and three years at Peoria High School (9th-12th grades, GO LIONS).
Prior to teaching I graduated from Harlem High School in Machesney Park, IL (GO HUSKIES). I then moved on to Northern Illinois University where I graduated with a B.A. in Visual Arts (GO HUSKIES). For the next three years I worked for WIFR, the CBS affiliate, in Rockford, IL as a videographer. That’s fancy speak for a camera man. While at WIFR I decided to pursue a degree in education. That is when I enrolled in Master of Arts in Teaching classes at Rockford College (GO REGENTS, it’s a lion).
I married the love of my life, Katie, in July of 2014. We have two cats, Jaxson and Dr. Sheldon Cooper. We also have a Siberian Husky, Belle. Yes, she is a princess.
As far as sports go I am a HUGE Chicago CUBS and BEARS fan. I still support the BULLS. My wife is a HUGE Green Bay PACKERS fan and Milwaukee BREWERS fan. She very much enjoys the BUCKS as well. Together we both root for the Chicago BLACKHAWKS and all BADGER sports. However, when NIU vs any BADGER team, I of course root for my HUSKIES.
In my spare time I enjoy spending as much time possible with family and friends and creating art.
